Job summary

Beyondsoft International (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an Engineering Assistant for the Queenstown, Singapore location. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm, focused on hands-on assembly, hardware validation, and documentation.

You will use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies to test prototype devices, record progress, and assist with lab maintenance within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Nitec / Higher Nitec or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical Process Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Ability to read and follow standard written step-by-step Technical/Work Instructions (WIs) and engineering schematics.
• Meticulous with good observational skills to catch defects in physical, printed, or functional forms.
• Adaptable team player who enjoys hands-on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on assembly, disassembly, teardowns, and physical retrofitting of prototype devices, hardware units, or test jigs.
• Conduct routine and advanced hardware validation tests (environmental, electrical, mechanical, EMC, connectivity) per test cases.
• Use lab diagnostic tools to check setups, isolate bugs, and perform minor firmware/hardware upgrades.
• Accurately record test progress, capture screenshots/logs, and maintain documentation.
• Assist with lab maintenance, calibration tracking, sample logistics, or material transfers for safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands-on assembly, disassembly, teardowns, and physical retrofitting of prototype devices, hardware units, or test jigs
