Job summary

Changi Airports International Pte Ltd invites Engineers from Senior to Principal levels to contribute to a diverse portfolio of airport infrastructure projects in Singapore and beyond. The role emphasizes civil and structural engineering, design analysis and multidisciplinary collaboration.

You will prepare calculations, reports and drawings, liaise with authorities, and mentor junior staff while supporting project management and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering from a university recognised by PE Board (Singapore).
• PE registration in Singapore or actively pursuing PE will be advantageous.
• Experience in civil and structural design, analysis, and project delivery.
• Experience in airport, transportation, infrastructure, or large-scale developments is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan, analyse, design and deliver civil and structural engineering projects for airport and infrastructure developments.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design specifications, drawings, tender documents and project-specific technical requirements.
• Carry out structural analysis and design for buildings, civil infrastructure, and airport-related facilities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, clients and stakeholders.
• Manage project deliverables to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness and timely completion.
• Liaise with authorities to obtain approvals and permits.
• Provide engineering support during construction including site supervision and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and regulations.
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff.
• Support project management activities including contract administration and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, analyse, design and deliver civil and structural engineering projects for airport and infrastructure developments.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design specifications, drawings, tender documents, and project-specific technical requirements.
• Carry out structural analysis and design for buildings, civil infrastructure, and airport-related facilities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, clients, and stakeholders throughout project implementation.
• Manage project deliverables to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion.
• Liaise with local authorities and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
• Perform engineering support during construction, including site supervision, inspections, technical reviews, and resolution of site issues.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with applicable statutory requirements, codes of practice, regulations, and industry standards.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.
• Support project management activities, including contract administration, coordination, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering from a university recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Singapore or actively pursuing PE registration will be an advantage.
• Candidates with greater experience may be considered for Senior Engineer or Principal Engineer or Technical Director positions.
• Experience in civil and structural engineering design, analysis, and project delivery.
• Experience in airport, transportation, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects will be highly advantageous.
• Good knowledge of authority submission requirements, approval processes, and engineering regulations.
• Proficient in engineering design and analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, Tekla, Prokon, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with CAD, BIM, and digital engineering workflows.
• Sound understanding of Eurocodes and local design standards.
• Experience in construction support, site supervision, quality control, and contract administration will be advantageous.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.

The appointment level will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant professional experience, qualifications, and competencies.
