Job summary

Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation in Singapore is seeking an experienced engineering leader to oversee a manufacturing team of CVD, PVD and CMP Associate engineers, ensuring daily production targets are met.

You will plan cross-training, provide performance feedback, and collaborate with engineering to maximise tool output and improve delivery. A strong focus on 5S, safety, and continuous improvement is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication industry
• Experience in handling and managing production line
• Strong leadership and independence
• Highly driven, motivated, resourceful with good communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI and automation skills a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a manufacturing team of CVD, PVD and CMP Associate engineers to meet daily production goals
• Plan manpower cross training to increase shift deployment flexibility
• Engage direct reports to provide performance feedback and address challenges
• Collaborate with CVD, PVD and CMP engineering and equipment counterparts to maximise tool output
• Work with production control and capacity teams to improve section delivery
• Execute continuous improvement and quality programs in manufacturing
• Cultivate 5S and safety mindset in daily work
• Strive for zero miss-operations in all work areas
• Identify potential human error issues and drive CAPA
• Prepare and present daily production indices for engineering focus
• Resolve line-related maintenance issues and coordinate with Engineering for temp solutions
• Engage IE and Engineering to ensure accurate UPH assumptions for capacity modeling

• Lead and support a manufacturing team of CVD, PVD and CMP Associate engineers(AE) to manage section daily production operations to meet Fab delivery requirements
• Work with AEs to plan out manpower cross training to increase shift deployment flexibility.
• Engage direct reports AEs/specialists regularly to feedback on performance as well as understand difficulties faced & identify potential areas for improvement.
• Daily close collaboration with CVD, PVD and CMP engineering and equipment counterparts to maximise tool output and efficiency performance
• Co-work with production control and capacity team to improve section delivery performance
• Execute continuous improvement and quality programs in manufacturing operations
• Cultivate good 5S and safety mindset in daily work environment
• Strive for zero miss-operations in all aspect of workscope
• Identify potential human error issues in the fab and work on CAPA
• Prepare and present daily production indices in module meetings and highlight key priorities for the Engineering team to focus.
• Resolve and handle line-related, preventive maintenance issues and understand all equipment capacity/constraint issues to be able to identify, implement temp solutions and work with Engineering team to resolve them.
• Engage support groups like IE and Engineering to ensure accurate and up-to-date assumptions, constraints and UPH are used in the tools capacity modeling.

Job Requirements:
