Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Design Verification Engineer to join our Research & Development team in Singapore. You will merge creativity with technical depth to advance automotive Ethernet verification, ensuring compliance with functional safety, time-sensitive networking, cybersecurity, and traceability requirements.

You’ll work with verification engineers to design test plans, develop coverage-driven tests, and improve chip quality for next-generation automotive systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering or related field with relevant coursework.
• Experience with object-oriented languages and verification methodologies is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize UVM and other tools to develop verification environments for automotive Ethernet switches.
• Formulate coverage-driven, constrained-random tests to catch pre-silicon design bugs.
• Collaborate with design engineers to plan tests, coverage models, and test suites that improve chip quality.
• Support certification in functional safety through methodology development and process improvements.

Your Role

As a Design Verification Engineer on our Research & Development team, you will merge creativity with technical expertise to shape the future of automotive Ethernet technology. You will work with a team of verification engineers to improve the quality of our chips and meet critical automotive requirements, including functional safety, time‑sensitive networking, cybersecurity, and traceability.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the latest tools and methodologies such as UVM to develop state‑of‑the‑art verification environments for automotive Ethernet switches.
• Formulate and develop coverage‑driven, constrained‑random tests to identify and catch pre‑silicon design bugs.
• Collaborate with design engineers and verification architects to design test plans, coverage models, and test suites that improve chip quality and satisfy automotive customer requirements.
• Engage in the development of new verification methodologies and continuous workflow improvement to achieve certification in functional safety.

Your Profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering or related fields (e.g., Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Control and Automation) with coursework in digital logic design, coding, and networking.
• Experience in object‑oriented programming languages such as Java, SystemVerilog, C++; candidates with experience in other programming languages will also be considered.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Make.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Curiosity in innovation and technology, with a commitment to staying up to date with the latest technological developments and the business landscape of automotive Ethernet.
• Flexible, proactive, and outcome‑oriented mindset.
