Job Description
As a QEM PQE Quality engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and driving continuous improvement for the quality and reliability of cutting‑edge memory/storage products manufactured in Fab10. Support the wafer manufacturing efforts for developing, validating, characterizing, and qualifying new products, enabling volume manufacturing with improved reliability performance to fulfill customer requirements. Leverage the knowledge of electrical operation and wafer fabrication technology of advanced NAND memory products to conduct root‑cause understanding for reliability failures or customer returns, and facilitate the implementation of required Fab specifications and documentation to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring and improving Quality and Reliability for products out of Fab, including wafer‑level reliability sampling for outgoing quality control.
- Collect wafer‑level reliability data, manage various reliability scorecards, and drive fab activities to improve reliability performance (extrinsic, intrinsic, process) for continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper reliability and quality indicators including OQRM, Probe, Parametric, and Inline metrics are in place and meeting goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality metrics, such as product grades and high stack eligibility.
- Serve as fab representative to respond and drive resolution to customer issues and RMAs.
- Support risk assessment for excursion materials, working closely with the global quality team to manage the MRB process.
- Manage follow‑on qualification activities during HVM, working closely with global teams to ensure critical product milestones are met.
- Lead and/or participate in site quality programs and defense line initiatives.
- Build strong partnership with global quality and PE teams.
- Integrate AI‑assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI‑enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, Material Science, Physics, or Applied Science.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, at all levels.
- Proven ability to multi‑task complex projects and drive them to completion.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build strong peer relationships.
- Good understanding of CMOS device physics is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of NAND device operations is an added advantage.
- Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron.
- Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
