Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore seeks a QEM PQE Engineer to support memory manufacturing, developing, validating, and qualifying new non-volatile memory products, and to improve frontend/backend test yields and overall Cum Yield performance.

You will analyze data, design DOE, drive cross-functional improvements, and collaborate with fabs and product engineering to resolve yield-related issues while embracing AI-enabled tools to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical/Electronic/Microelectronic/Materials/Data Science/Physics/Math/Statistics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and drive to completion.
  • Good teamwork and peer relationship building.
  • Experience in yield analysis is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CMOS device physics and NAND operations is advantageous.
  • Understanding of probe test flow and test methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new product startup and sustain high-volume product yield/grade improvement.
  • Drive yield/product grade enhancements, monitor performance, and push improvements.
  • Perform data analysis using analysis/statistical tools; summarize and present results.
  • Design and run DOE to drive improvement activities.
  • Lead taskforce meetings to mitigate yield loss and create roadmaps with cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to propose strategy based on data.
  • Collaborate with wafer fab process/integration to address defects affecting yield.
  • Collaborate with FAB/MH/PE/PYE to resolve process/device/test issues.
  • Integrate AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying and sharing AI-enabled enhancements.

As a QEM PQE Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will support the semiconductor memory manufacturing efforts for developing, validating, characterizing, and qualifying new non-volatile memory products, enabling volume manufacturing with improved frontend/backend test yields/product grades and overall Cum Yield performance; and enhance overall reliability by supporting the team in doing yield and failure analysis to identify root cause fail signatures and other yield/product grade limiters. You will leverage an understanding of electrical operation and current fabrication technology of advanced NAND memory products. You will be expected to interact with engineers and technicians across multiple sites responsible for corrective actions (Design, Product Engineering, Research & Development, Test, Quality and Reliability Assurance).

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for new product startup and sustaining high volume product yield/product grade improvement

  • Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment andcompliance with organizational standards and legal requirements.
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Microelectronic/Material Science/Data Science/Physics/Mathematics/Statistics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal to all level.
  • Proven ability in multi-tasking complex projects and driving them to completion.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build strong peer relationships
  • Experience in yield analysis/EFA will be added advantage in consideration.
  • Good understanding of CMOS device physics is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of NAND devices operations is an added advantage
  • Understanding of probe test flow & test methodology including array operation, customer feature and specification is an added advantage.
  • Willing to work flexible hours that overlap with different time zones if necessary.
  • Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
  • Ability to apply baseline digital fluency androle-appropriate AIliteracy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
