Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a contamination control professional to monitor and manage cleanroom environments, sample swabs, and analyze contamination data.

You will coordinate with engineering teams, respond to alerts, and ensure real-time systems operate correctly in a fast-paced semiconductor setting. The role requires a bachelor’s in chemical/environmental engineering or chemistry, cleanroom experience, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/environmental engineering/chemistry.
• Must be able to work in cleanroom environment.
• Basic proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques (ion chromatography, gas chromatography, particle analyzers) is a plus.
• Must be able to work swing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to ERT and security alerts; ensure gowning room logistics during evacuations.
• Address contamination alarms and report abnormal conditions to engineering and stakeholders.
• Sample various Fab and FOUP environments for contamination; collaborate with chemical lab for timely analysis.
• Ensure real-time monitoring systems are operating and recording properly.
• Conduct primary investigations on contamination issues and provide data to engineering.
• Complete special projects and support contamination control initiatives.
• Ensure team members follow approved cleanroom protocols.
• Serve as a contamination control resource for Fab, Probe, Facilities and others.
• Contribute to areas of responsibility and establish/improve process conditions.
• Upgrade process capability and reduce production costs; develop process management projects.
• Set up process parameters for semiconductor equipment; evaluate new equipment/materials.
• Analyze and improve abnormal conditions in Fab and FOUP environment control.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.

• Establish and improve process conditions and technology.

• Upgrade process capability and reduce production costs.

• Develop and modify process management projects.

• Set up process parameters for various semiconductor equipment.

• Evaluate, promote, and plan new equipment/materials.

• Analyze and improve abnormal conditions in the area of Fab and FOUP environment control.

• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.

• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/ environmental engineering/chemistry.

• Must be able to work in cleanroom environment

• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse variety of people.

• Basic proficiency in software skills, such as MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Basic knowledge of analytical technique, such as Ion chromatography, gas chromatography and particle analyzers, etc. is a plus

• Must be able to work swing shift

• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
