Job summary

You will design and layout process and utility piping, prepare AutoCAD drawings and isometrics, and select suitable materials. Responsibilities include sizing calculations, coordination with suppliers, and field verification of installations. Training provided for fresh graduates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or E&E engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop piping design specifications for wastewater treatment projects.
• Design and layout piping systems in compliance with codes and local regulations.
• Prepare piping drawings and isometric drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Select piping materials, valves, fittings and components per project needs.
• Calculate pipe sizing, pressure drops, and flow rates for optimal performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to procure materials.
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of piping systems.
• Conduct field inspections to verify installations and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation of drawings, calculations and correspondence.

Job description

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop piping design specifications for the wastewater treatment project
• Design and layout the piping systems, including process piping, utility piping, and plumbing, ensuring compliance with industry codes, standards, and local regulations.
• Prepare detailed piping drawings, isometric drawings, and piping material specifications using AutoCAD or other relevant software.
• Select and specify appropriate piping materials, valves, fittings, and other components based on project requirements and compatibility with wastewater treatment processes.
• Calculate and determine pipe sizing, pressure drops, flow rates, and hydraulic characteristics to ensure optimal performance of the piping systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to procure piping materials and equipment
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of piping system
• Conduct field inspections and surveys to verify piping installations, identify any deviations or deficiencies, and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of piping design activities, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and correspondence.

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electronic and Electrical Engineering or a related field.
