Job summary

Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations Pte. Ltd. is seeking a results-driven engineer to lead shift technicians and contractors, drive operational objectives, and ensure safety and quality through strict SOP compliance.

The role requires strong problem solving, AI literacy, and collaboration with production stakeholders to deploy new equipment, optimize processes, and apply AI-enabled insights in a clean-room environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering/science discipline.
• Willing to work permanent 12-hour day/night shifts.
• Demonstrated leadership in projects or internships.
• Experience with problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, PFMEA).
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Able to work in a clean room environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• PROBE internship experience in semiconductors is a plus.
• Experience on projects aligned with the duties of this role is a plus.
• Interest in the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
• Understanding or interest in AI applications in semiconductor manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and AI literacy for AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure training and SOP compliance to eliminate safety and quality risks.
• Analyze data and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain close communication with production and process stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Establish and review SOPs to keep them relevant and optimized.
• Explore and develop an AI approach to improve productivity and protect quality.
• Evaluate, promote, and plan new equipment and materials deployment.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency and quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Must be open/willing to work a permanent 12-hour day/night shift schedule as assigned by your supervisor.

• Leadership:Demonstratedleadership experience through academic projects, internships, or extracurricular activities, with the ability to build and develop an effective team to tackle operation challenges.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Proven problem-solving abilities, knowledge on problemsolvingmethodologieslike 8D, 5 Why analysis, Process FailureModeand Effect Analysis(PFMEA)to deliver effective solutions.

• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the initiative and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Able to work in clean room environment

• Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Demonstrated PROBE internship experience within a semiconductor company is a plus

• Experience working on projects that align with the key duties of this position is a plus

• Interestin andknowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.

• Understanding or interest in AI applications in semiconductor manufacturing, such as predictive analytics, automated defect classification, or data visualization is preferred.

• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency androle‑appropriate AIliteracy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
