Job summary

ASM is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support ASM’s Singapore site, driving production excellence and process optimization in a high-tech semiconductor environment.

You will troubleshoot manufacturing issues, develop and maintain process documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve yield and efficiency. Fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome, with 1–3 years of experience ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field is required.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing engineering experience or internships considered.
• Able to read electrical schematics and P&ID and interpret manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; capable of cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to production operations and resolve manufacturing issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot assembly and test issues using structured RCA, CAPA approaches.
• Develop, review, and maintain manufacturing docs, work instructions, processes, routing and BOMs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, manufacturability and operations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost yield, reduce labor hours and cut costs.

This is a hands-on engineering role supporting the operational heartbeat of ASM’s Singapore manufacturing site. You’ll help drive production excellence, support ramp-ups, and optimize cleanroom processes that directly impact the performance and delivery of our leading-edge semiconductor equipment. What you will be working on

• - Provide engineering support to production operation, ensuring timely resolution of manufacturing issues
• - Troubleshoot assembly and test related issues using structured problem-solving methodologies, driving effective root cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions, and preventive actions (CAPA).
• - Develop, review and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process flows, routing and Bills of Materials (BOM)
• - Collaborate with cross-functional team to drive product quality, manufacturability and operational excellence.
• - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, quality, labor hour reduction and cost optimization.

What we are looking for

• - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
• - 1-3 years of manufacturing engineering experience (fresh graduates with relevant internships may be considered).
• - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID.
• - Knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering fundamentals.
• - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• - Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
