Job summary

SSMC, a joint venture between NXP and TSMC, is seeking an Engineer, Fab Automation & Application to join the Automation & Systems, Fab Intelligence Department. You will contribute to automation projects, real-time dispatch, and KPI reporting to enhance production efficiency.

We welcome candidates with 1–3 years in wafer fabrication, strong scripting ability for RTD/AM, and proficiency in SQL/Tableau/VBA. This on-site Singapore-based role offers growth in a dynamic semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering / Computer Science.
• Interest in wafer fab manufacturing and automation.
• Ability to write scripts for RTD and AM.
• Good knowledge of MS SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, Tableau and VBA.
• 1–3 years relevant wafer fab experience; fresh graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Introduce new automation initiatives to improve fab operation and productivity.
• Execute automation projects to integrate with existing systems, testing and production release.
• Execute new automation projects from equipment start-up to acceptance for production.
• Manage maintenance and training programs for automation equipment.
• Design and develop algorithms in Real Time Dispatch (RTD) and Activity Manager (AM).
• Create automation KPI reports using Tableau and Excel.
• Document SOPs and best methods for automation equipment.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project success.

We’re searching for a Engineer, Fab Automation & Application (50702403) to be part of our Automation & Systems, Fab Intelligence Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• Introduce new automation initiatives to improve fab operation and productivity
• Execute automation projects to integrate with existing system, testing, release for production
• Execute new automation project from equipment start-up/ design, vendor start-up, to acceptance of automation equipment for production.
• Manage maintenance and training program
• Design and development of algorithm in Real Time Dispatch (RTD) and Activity Manager (AM) to enable automated dispatch, reporting, and alert system
• Design and development automation KPI report by using Tableau and Excel.
• Establish systems/guidance in sustenance and improvement of all automation equipment performance indices to exceed/meet operations goals.
• Perform duties for troubleshoot automation equipment-related problems (both hardware and software) to minimize equipment downtime when requested.
• Work with contractors and vendors, coordinate with equipment, manufacturing, Facility and IT engineers to ensure work is carried out efficiently on automation project.
• Document SOP, procedures and best-known methods for automation equipment to allow more efficient workflow and troubleshooting.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs to optimize RTD system.

More about you

• Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering / Computer Science
• Preferably 1-3 years relevant wafer fab manufacturing experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Interest in Wafer Fabrication Manufacturing
