TUAS Power Generation Pte. Ltd. on Jurong Island invites a Mechanical Engineer to lead the maintenance of coal/biomass and gas-fired boilers, steam turbines, and associated equipment.

You will plan safe maintenance and overhauls, provide technical support for improvement projects, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and fundamentals in thermodynamics, materials handling, and pumps.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
• Proficient in MS Office for planning, reporting and presentation.

Responsabilités

• Planning and safe execution of mechanical maintenance and overhaul works for cogeneration and utilities plants.
• Provide technical support for new or improvement projects.
• Documentation and reporting on maintenance works, training and safety activities.
• Manage department inventory, procurement and cost optimization.
• Manage external contracts and coach junior officers; coordinate overhaul works.

About the role

You will work in the Mechanical department, which is one of the three maintenance departments in Tembusu Multi Utilities Complex (TMUC), Jurong Island. You will have the key responsibility for the mechanical maintenance of the 2 x Coal/Biomass co-fired boilers, 3 x Natural gas fired boilers, 2 x steam turbine generators and associated auxiliary plant, ensuring the plant achieves maximum reliability and availability.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and safe execution of mechanical equipment maintenance and overhaul works of cogeneration and utilities plants, coal/biomass handling systems, boilers, steam turbine generators and water treatment plants

• Provide technical support for new or improvement projects undertaken by the Company

• Documentation and reporting on maintenance works, training and safety related activities

• Manage department inventory, procurement and cost optimization works

• Manage external contracts, statutory compliance, coaching of department junior officers, and perform coordination works to achieve timely completion of overhaul works and daily defects

About you

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline

• Possess mechanical knowledge in theory such as thermodynamic, mechanic of materials, material compositions and pumps fundamentals

• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Competent Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Words, Power Points, Project and Excels for planning, reporting and presentation.
  

This position will be based in Jurong Island, company transport is provided at Jurong East/ Choa Chu Kang MRT station.
