Job summary

Hunting Energy Services Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a mechanical engineer to prepare engineering drawings and technical reports, and to maintain engineering data in the ERP system. You will provide technical guidance on premium connections to Sales and customers and support tender evaluations with product recommendations.

The role involves evaluating contract technical aspects and advising manufacturing to ensure products meet specifications, with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Oil and gas upstream experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings and technical reports.
• Maintain a database of engineering information, including drawings and test reports.
• Maintain item code in ERP system.
• Provide technical advice on premium connections to Sales and customers.
• Support tender/RFQ evaluations with technical input and product recommendations.
• Evaluate technical aspects of contracts.
• Advise manufacturing facilities to ensure products meet specifications.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Prepare engineering drawings and technical reports.
• Maintain a database of engineering information, including drawings, test reports, etc.
• Maintain item code in ERP system
• Provide technical advice on premium connections to Sales Department and customers
• Support Customer Service Department in technical evaluation of tenders and RFQs, including proposing suitable products and assessing internal manufacturing capabilities
• Evaluate technical aspects of a contract
• Provide technical advice to manufacturing facilities to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with specification
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills :

• Solid mechanical engineering knowledge, especially on stress analysis, steel material properties,
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Intermediate skills on CAD software, e.g. SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor etc.
• Able to write technical reports
• Understand API specifications, especially 5CT, 5B, 5C3 and 5C5 is an added advantage
• Knowledgeable in lean six sigma is an added advantage
• Project management experience
• Ability to communicate and work at all levels of the organization

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or related field required.
• Experience in oil and gas industry (upstream) is preferred
