Job summary

NTI Nanofilm in Singapore is seeking a BOM Specialist to build EBOM/PBOM/MBOM from drawings, manage material master data, and coordinate with design, production and procurement to resolve BOM issues.

You will convert R&D EBOM into MBOM, adjust levels for assembly processes, maintain routing and BOM data, and support ERP/PLM to ensure accurate material planning. Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years BOM experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical, electromechanical, or industrial engineering or related fields.
• 3–5 years of full-time BOM experience in non-standard automation or machinery manufacturing.
• Ability to read assembly and part drawings; familiar with frames, modules, lead screws and cylinders.
• Proficient with ERP/PLM, multi-level BOM construction and ECN changes.
• Familiar with EBOM-to-MBOM logic; meticulous with clear, logical communication.
• Experience with NPI and process BOM in equipment factories is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Full lifecycle management of material master data in the design BOM, including new material MDMS.
• Create and verify data, perform daily maintenance, and correct or freeze failures.
• Follow material coding rules; improve core fields like material code, name, and specs.
• Check BOM data to troubleshoot errors, missing/multi-materials, and classification issues.
• Standardize and consolidate materials, reduce material types, and remove duplicates.
• Convert R&D EBOM to MBOM; adjust levels and parts for assembly processes.
• Supplement assembly accessories and tooling; improve production material distribution.
• Optimize BOM structure by line stations and sequences; improve uniformity and efficiency.
• Maintain process routes, operations, and BOM data; support ERP production planning.

About the role

Build EBOM/PBOM/MBOM based on drawings, manage material data and ECN changes, coordinate with various departments to resolve BOM-related issues, and support production and procurement operations.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for full lifecycle management of material master data in the design BOM: including creating new MDM master data for new materials, field verification, daily maintenance, data correction, and freezing failures
• Strictly follow material coding rules and classification standards, and improve the core fields of material master data: material code, material name, specification and model, material, unit, brand, and other material specifications
• Check BOM data to troubleshoot issues such as BOM errors, missing materials, multiple materials, hierarchical errors, abnormal usage, master data field errors, classification errors, attribute anomalies, and other issues
• Sort out the company's existing materials, promote standardized, generalized, and normalized management of materials, integrate duplicate materials, and reduce material types
• Convert R&D EBOM into process BOM and manufacturing BOM (MBOM), adjusting levels and parts according to assembly processes
• Supplement assembly accessories, consumables, tooling fixtures, and improve the actual production material distribution structure
• Optimizes BOM structure based on production line stations and assembly sequences to improve uniformity rate and assembly efficiency
• Maintain process routes, operations, and BOM related data, supporting ERP production planning and material requisitioning
• Handle issues such as material shortages, incorrect installation, and rework caused by unreasonable BOM structures in production

About you

• Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical, electromechanical, or industrial engineering or related fields
• Over 3-5 years of full-time BOM experience in non-standard automation, intelligent equipment, and complete machine manufacturing
• Able to read mechanical assembly drawings and part drawings, familiar with standard parts such as frames, modules, lead screws, and cylinders
• Proficient in using ERP/PLM systems, proficient in multi-level BOM construction and ECN change processes
• Familiar with EBOM-to-MBOM logic, meticulous, rigorous, clear logic, and strong communication and coordination skills
• Experience in introducing new NPI products and process BOM at equipment factories is preferred
