Job summary

Sunningdale Tech Ltd, a leading precision plastic components manufacturer with global facilities, seeks an Automation Engineer to conceptualize and implement automation systems in its Singapore operations. You will test, commission, and integrate robotic systems, while troubleshooting hardware and software to ensure reliability and efficiency across production lines.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering and at least 2 years in automation, with hands‑on

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.
• Min. 2 years’ experience in automation industry.
• Proficiency in C/C++, PLC, HMI, TCP/IP and Serial programming.
• Knowledge of industrial sensors, motors and robots.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design and implement automation systems to enhance productivity.
• Test and commission electrical and automation systems.
• Integrate robot systems with existing manufacturing machinery to improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and repair automation hardware, software and interfaces.
• Design, modify and implement EOAT with robot systems for molding machines.
• Stay updated on Industry 4.0 advancements and apply them for cost savings and productivity.
• Support activities related to industry 4.0 initiatives across the company.

Responsibilities:

• To conceptualize, design and implement automation systems to enhance productivity
• To test and commissioning electrical and automation system.
• To integrate robot system to existing manufacturing machinery to achieve automation to improve overall manufacturing efficiency and productivity improvement.
• To troubleshoot, repair current factory automation hardware, software and interface issues, maintaining the system to ensure full functionality and reliability.
• To design, modify and implement end of arm tooling (EOAT) with robot system of molding machine to required function in efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Keep abreast of latest developments in industrial automation technology and introduce them to company to achieve cost savings and productivity improvements.
• To support any work activities related to industry 4.0 initiative companywide.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
• Min. 2 years’ experience in automation industry
• C/C++, PLC, HMI, TCP/TP and Serial Programming
• Knowledge in industrial sensors, motors and robots.
• Independent and good team player
