Job summary

A-STAR TESTING & INSPECTION (S) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced NDT professional to take technical responsibility for client facilities and deliver high-level NDT solutions.

You will lead procedures, train inspectors, and ensure certification compliance across RT, PT, UT, MT, VT, ET methods. Applicants should hold multiple Level III certifications (ASNT/CSWIP) and possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to work within tight deadlines and deliver practical training materials

Qualifications

• ASNT NDT Level III, PCN NDT Level III, Advanced NDT Specialist.
• Familiarisation of ASME & API Codes & Standards.
• Ability to assume full technical responsibility for clients’ NDT facilities.
• Proven experience of providing solutions to clients’ NDT inspection related problems.
• Maintain all equipment and consumables storage in the store room to be ready for use with good condition under acceptance criteria by client or international standard.
• Willingness to be flexible and multi-task as part of a team, and contribute to company objectives.
• Strongly motivated to achieve results with a high degree of professionalism, honesty and integrity.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to priorities workloads with competing deadlines.
• Good written skills to produce coursework and training materials, as well as clients’ NDT procedures, written practices, techniques and audit reports.
• Provide internal training and technical guidance for other inspectors.
• Ensure that all personal certification is kept up to date.
• Develop and approve NDT procedures, written practices and NDT techniques to a high standard that comply with clients.
• Creative skills to plan and deliver lessons in a professional, positive and engaging manner.
• Ensure adequate training and cross checking the site works, share knowledge with team members and contribute to team development.
• To analyse work plans and projects, and as well as recommendations of every working unit; and to give advice on safety measures to the employer.
• Feedback on revised Equipment and software for improvement.
• Feedback after testing the new equipment onsite for improvement.
• Extensive knowledge of own subject area with extensive industrial NDT experience holding multiple NDT method Level III certification ASNT (RT,PT,UT,MT,VT,ET) / CSWIP (PAUT/TOFD)
• Preferable: Master’s degree in NDT; Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain NDT procedures, written practices and techniques to high standards in line with client requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to inspectors to uphold quality and safety.
• Analyse work plans, advise on safety measures, and contribute to project improvements.
• Support clients with NDT facility assessments and problem-solving for inspection challenges.
• Ensure equipment and consumables are stored and maintained per standards.
