Job summary

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, wiring, control panels and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance or related facilities is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Capable of working independently and in a team.
  • Safety-conscious when handling electrical equipment.
  • Willing to work night shifts and weekends/public holidays when required.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and perform rectification works.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues.
  • Ensure all engineering works are conducted safely per procedures.
  • Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and other departments.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and equipment conditions.
  • Respond to urgent breakdowns and technical issues when required.
  • Be willing to work midnight/night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Perform other engineering duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Good understanding and practical knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, control panels, electrical components, and troubleshooting.
  • Able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance, facilities, building services, manufacturing, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Safety-conscious and responsible when handling electrical equipment.
  • Willing to work midnight/night shifts and on weekends or public holidays when required.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Candidates with relevant technical certifications or licenses will have an added advantage.
Working Hours
  • Shift work may be required, including midnight/night shifts.
  • Willingness to work outside normal office hours, weekends, and public holidays when operationally required.

  • Hands-on approach to engineering and maintenance work.
  • Able to remain calm and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns or urgent situations.
