Job summary

Omori Engineering in Singapore is seeking a responsible Engineer to join our team. The role covers day-to-day engineering operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.

The candidate will inspect, maintain, diagnose faults, and coordinate with contractors while adhering to safety procedures. Night shifts, weekends, and public holidays may be required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Good understanding of electrical systems, wiring, control panels, components, and troubleshooting.
  • Able to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance or facilities is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and rectify as needed.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify issues.
  • Ensure safe engineering practices per procedures.
  • Coordinate with contractors and other departments as required.

  • Respond to urgent breakdowns as needed.
  • Willing to work midnight/night shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.

Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and technically competent Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day engineering operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring that electrical and related systems are operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and carry out necessary rectification works.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify potential electrical or technical issues.
  • Ensure all engineering works are carried out safely and according to company procedures.
  • Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and other departments when required.
  • Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and equipment conditions.
  • Respond to urgent breakdowns and technical issues when required.
  • Be willing to work midnight/night shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Perform other engineering duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Good understanding and practical knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, control panels, electrical components, and troubleshooting.
  • Able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance, facilities, building services, manufacturing, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Safety-conscious and responsible when handling electrical equipment.
  • Willing to work midnight/night shifts and on weekends or public holidays when required.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Candidates with relevant technical certifications or licenses will have an added advantage.
Working Hours
  • Shift work may be required, including midnight/night shifts.
  • Willingness to work outside normal office hours, weekends, and public holidays when operationally required.
Preferred Qualities
  • Responsible, proactive, and dependable.
  • Hands-on approach to engineering and maintenance work.
  • Able to remain calm and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns or urgent situations.
  • Strong attention to safety and detail.
