Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, invites engineers to join its Asia Pacific ELMT team in Singapore to support overhaul and repair of commercial engines. You will work across repair design, metrology, and engine investigations, with deployment to other sites as needed.

The role emphasizes airworthiness compliance, data substantiation, and collaboration with shops and CIPT/CAIPT teams, with travel as required and strong focus on technical ownership and performance."

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Aerospace, Mechanical & Production, Materials or equivalent.
  • Min 1–5 years of experience in the aerospace aftermarket and/or similar MRO.
  • Good engineering aptitude and ability to learn independently.
  • Demonstrate communication skills including written and oral presentation proficiency.
  • Demonstrate business judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Establish that technical data requirements are compliant to airworthiness standards and ensure repairs and limits are safe, durable, and properly substantiated.
  • Carry out repair design and structural analysis as needed for technical data needs.
  • Support customers in resolving field supportability issues with timely hardware disposition to support shop turnaround time, cost, and minimize workscope.
  • Trend hardware distress locally to identify needed limits/repairs and input to spare provisioning based on distress trending and metrology work.
  • Research operating environments and functionality of components, their interactions with mating parts, and develop strategies to return damaged parts to service.
  • Interface with CIPT/CAIPT/Shops to secure priorities and understand programmatic issues and conduct engine investigations.
  • Conduct repair process standard work reviews and undertake project work as required.
  • Lead and conduct technology work, research and projects in support of shops as required.
  • Continue to develop understanding of technologies, engine systems, business systems, regulations and customer needs.
  • Foster an environment of creative technical ownership and rotation of responsibilities within the ELMT team.
  • Carry out CORE for cost-efficient development and execution of programs.
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
  • Occasional Global Travel will be required.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Engine Life Management Team (ELMT) Asia Pacific, Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering (ASE), you will help to support the engine centers and component repair shops in the overhaul and repair of commercial engines. You will focus on supporting engineering needs in the region which include, but not limited to, repair development, limits development, structural analysis, engine investigation, part data trending, salvage clinics, metrology, reverse engineering, project management, shop support and technology. This position is based in Eagle Services Asia (ESA) Singapore – 51 Calshot Road, with deployment to other sites locally and overseas as needed.

What You Will Do

  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Aerospace, Mechanical & Production, Materials or equivalent.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2nd upper qualification and above is preferred.

  • Technical knowledge of commercial gas turbine engines or powerplant is preferred.

  • Basic understanding of Project Management processes, tools, and techniques, including knowledge and application of continuous improvement operating systems.
