Job summary

The Energy Studies Institute at the National University of Singapore is seeking researchers to join a multi-disciplinary team conducting policy-relevant energy research for Singapore and the region.

The role involves technical and policy reviews, carbon footprint assessments, stakeholder engagement and dissemination through reports and journals, as well as organising seminars and conferences. A PhD in a related field is required and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• PhD required in engineering, energy systems modelling, sustainability or related field.
• Experience with Life Cycle Assessment is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical and policy reviews of the global energy landscape through desk research.
• Assess carbon footprint and environmental impacts of fuels, renewables and energy supply chains using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Engage with stakeholders to inform policy discussions.
• Produce policy reports, documentation and publish articles in reputable journals.
• Organise seminars, workshops and conferences; perform other duties as assigned by the PI/Head of Division.
