Job summary

The National University of Singapore's Energy Studies Institute is recruiting a Research Fellow to advance policy-relevant research on energy systems and decarbonization pathways. You will contribute to multi-disciplinary projects, develop advanced models, and publish results for policy impact.

Based at Kent Ridge Campus, you will engage stakeholders, supervise research students, and help secure research funding while collaborating with a diverse team of researchers.

Qualifications

• PhD in energy systems modelling, energy and climate economics, or related quantitative field.
• At least two years of relevant research experience in energy systems modelling or related areas.
• Strong interest in energy and environmental issues including decarbonization.
• Experience with energy system model integration is a plus.
• Experience in Singapore government or industry energy environment is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced research on energy and environmental systems to support policy-making for decarbonization pathways.
• Engage with stakeholders and external groups; supervise student researchers.
• Produce policy reports, documentation and publish articles in journals.
• Cultivate networks, initiate collaborations and prepare funding proposals.
• Perform administrative duties and organize seminars/workshops/conferences.
