Job summary

FARRER PARK HOSPITAL PTE. LTD. is seeking a Nursing professional to participate in the implementation of nursing standards and procedures in the Endoscopy unit. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

You will also supervise junior nurses, assist the Endoscopist during procedures, monitor patient responses, manage emergencies, and contribute to training and knowledge sharing with ESS staff.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Valid Singapore Nursing Board Practicing Certificate.
• Advanced Diploma or Post-Basic qualification in Medical-Surgical Nursing or Operating Theatre Nursing would be an added advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience in Endoscopy.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess sound clinical knowledge and skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach to work, as well as good computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• participate in overall implementation of Nursing Standards and procedures.
• assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care while maintaining professional standards, patient safety and quality of care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• provide guidance and support to existing and new junior nurses in proper care and maintenance of endoscopes and specialised equipment.
• supervise junior nurses and conduct performance evaluations and appraisals using standard assessment tools.
• participate in the care, maintenance and decontamination of endoscopes including accurate recording, traceability of scopes and equipment.
• assist Endoscopist with the endoscopic procedures.
• monitor and evaluate patient's response and condition during the procedure including responding and managing emergency situations such as Code Blue.
• ensure correct billing of consumables used, and procedures performed for patients.
• participate in monthly review of financial performance and variance reports.
• continuously enhance knowledge and skills in the latest endoscopy procedures and share knowledge through provision of in-service training for ESS staff.
• enhance good working relationship with all our external and internal customers.
• Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
