Job summary

Smart Reno, a Singapore-based interior design and renovation company, is seeking an Interior Designer to manage the design and renovation journey for assigned clients. This hands-on role involves direct client interaction and seeing projects from initial consultation to completion.

You will develop concepts, mood boards, space plans, floor plans, and 3D visuals, coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure quality results across residential and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Preferably 2 years or more of relevant experience within Singapore's interior design, renovation or design‑and‑build industry.
• Experience handling residential renovation projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of space planning, materials, finishes and renovation processes.
• Able to understand and prepare technical/construction drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in SketchUp or other 3D modelling/rendering software.
• Comfortable communicating and presenting ideas directly to clients.
• Able to coordinate effectively with contractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Willing to travel to project sites around Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Meet and communicate with prospective clients to understand their lifestyle, requirements, budget and design preferences.
• Conduct design consultations and propose practical solutions based on clients' needs.
• Develop design concepts, mood boards, colour and material palettes.
• Produce practical and well‑considered space planning solutions.
• Prepare floor plans, furniture layouts and design presentations.
• Create or coordinate 3D visualisations and renders.
• Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings, elevations and detailed drawings.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare project requirements.
• Prepare detailed renovation quotations and cost estimates.
• Manage renovation projects from confirmation through completion and handover.
