Job summary

Singapore Tourism Board is seeking a Contract Tester to support the redevelopment of Stan, focusing on UAT across the full data pipeline—from ingestion and validation to transformation and dashboard reporting.

You will work with data custodians and product managers to create test scenarios, review vendor test cases, and drive defects to resolution, ensuring data accuracy and quality throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in CS/IT/Statistics/Data Analytics or related field.
• At least 2 years of UAT or software testing experience, preferably in data/analytics.
• Good understanding of data structures and data quality issues (duplicates, missing values, anomalies).
• Familiarity with data pipeline processes: ingestion, validation, transformation, ETL.
• Basic SQL knowledge for querying databases and validating data (preferred).
• Experience with dashboard/BI tools (e.g., AWS QuickSight) is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Understand business and data requirements, translate them into test scenarios and test cases.
• Plan and execute UAT across end-to-end data pipeline: ingestion, validation, transformation, dashboards, reporting.
• Review vendor-provided test cases, identify gaps, and create additional test cases as needed.
• Log, track, and follow up on defects with vendors to ensure timely resolution.
• Verify data accuracy and integrity by identifying duplicates, missing data, or anomalies.
• Support data cleansing activities and coordinate with vendors to resolve data quality issues.
• Ensure vendor documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
