Job summary

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore is looking for an officer to join a team working with government and private organisations to meet national interests.

You will formulate contingency plans for peacetime crises and emerging risks from climate change and new energy sources, review the crisis management framework, and conduct regular exercises to validate readiness and coordinated responsiveness. You will also support systems capability development and training planning.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in developing emergency plans and exercise planning.
• Past experience in shipping, logistics or supply chain will be an added advantage.
• Highly driven, organized, able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or permanent appointment.

Responsibilities

• Formulation of contingency plans to mitigate peacetime crisis and emerging risks from climate change and new energy sources such as green fuels.
• Review of MPA Crisis Management framework and contingency plans.
• Conduct regular crisis management exercises to validate WoG ops readiness and coordinated responsiveness.
• Support EP systems’ capability development, knowledge management of EP information, operational readiness, and training/evaluation planning.
