Job summary

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is seeking a skilled professional to strengthen national resilience through emergency planning and crisis management activities. You will join a team collaborating with government and private sectors to mitigate risks and coordinate swift responses to evolving threats.

Responsibilities include developing contingency plans for peacetime crises, reviewing the MPA Crisis Management framework, and conducting exercises to validate WoG operations

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in developing emergency plans and exercise planning.
• Past experience in shipping, logistics or supply chain is advantageous.
• Highly driven, organized, able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• 2-year contract with potential extension or permanent appointment.

Responsibilities

• Formulation of contingency plans to mitigate peacetime crisis and emerging risks from climate change and hazards from the use of new energy sources such as green fuels.
• Review of MPA Crisis Management framework and contingency plans, and conducting regular crisis management exercises to validate WoG ops readiness and coordinated responsiveness.
• Support EP systems’ capability development, knowledge management of EP information, operational readiness, as well as training and exercises planning and evaluation.
