Job summary

AEM Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Embedded Hardware/ Firmware Engineer to develop, test, and validate PCB-based systems. You will support hardware and software testing, PCB assembly validation, and cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams.

The role emphasizes rigorous documentation, design verification, and robust debugging across hardware and software.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or related discipline.
3–5 years experience in embedded systems, electronics design or firmware development.
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
Experience with microcontrollers, DSP or FPGA-based systems.
Knowledge of UART, I2C, SPI, CAN and Ethernet protocols.
PCB design tools such as Altium or OrCAD or equivalent.
Hands-on with test equipment: oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyser.
Proficient in C/C++ programming.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain technical documentation for design, implementation, and testing processes.
Support hardware and software testing activities to ensure system quality and performance.
Perform PCB assembly testing and validation activities.
Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, and manufacturing engineers.
Troubleshoot embedded hardware and firmware issues during development and testing.
Support system integration and root cause analysis activities.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of test results and engineering findings.
