Job summary

ArcadeXR is hiring an Embedded Systems Engineer to own the firmware and electrical interfaces for bringing arcade cabinets to Arcade Online. You will onboard real machines, modify harnesses, and develop custom hardware interfaces for remote play, while collaborating with a games team on new prototypes.

You will design compact firmware in C/C++, maintain low‑level I/O frameworks, and contribute to reliability, 24‑hour operation, and forward‑looking hardware concepts.

Qualifications

• Experience designing embedded firmware for electro‑mechanical systems.
• Ability to write clean, portable C/C++ across MCU platforms.
• Strong debugging and hands‑on hardware skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded firmware to high standards.
• Own and evolve the low‑level I/O framework.
• Integrate electrical and I/O systems of arcade cabinets for remote play.
• Prototype firmware and hardware interfaces for new game concepts.
• Provide input on scope and resource needs for new features.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and game teams.
