KINGFISHER RECRUITMENT (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is sourcing an Embedded Linux Performance Engineer to join its client’s first overseas R&D team in Singapore. The role focuses on adapting the Linux kernel for ARM-based SoCs and optimizing system performance in automotive applications.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Linux performance analysis, ARM architectures, and kernel-level debugging with perf and ftrace, plus solid C/C++ and scripting skills for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• >5 years of experience in Linux system performance optimisation or SoC performance analysis.
• Strong understanding of Linux kernel subsystems; hands-on with profiling tools like perf and ftrace.
• Proficiency in ARMv8/ARMv9 architectures; familiarity with Cortex-A microarchitectures (A76/A78/A720).
• Knowledge of AXI/ACE bus protocols, cache coherence and memory subsystems.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills; Python or Bash scripting for automation and analysis.
• Ability to investigate complex system issues and demonstrate measurable performance improvements.

Our client is an innovative semiconductor company expanding its international R&D footprint, developing advanced automotive SoCs that integrate intelligent cockpit and driver-assistance capabilities. As part of this expansion, the company is building its first overseas R&D team in Singapore and is seeking an Embedded Linux Performance Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Adapt and optimise the Linux kernel for ARM-based SoC platforms, ensuring stable and efficient system operation.

• Analyse and improve ARM CPU performance and system-level scheduling.
