Job summary

Kingfisher Recruitment Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Linux Kernel Engineer (Memory) for an automotive SoC project in Singapore. The role focuses on developing and optimizing memory‑driven kernel functionality for advanced embedded platforms.

You will bring up minimal Linux systems, debug complex kernel issues with JTAG/T32, and contribute to platform stability across pre‑ and post‑silicon stages, while documenting technical specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics, Computer Science, Automation or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise Linux kernel functionality, with a focus on memory management, system stability and performance.
• Bring up and maintain minimal Linux systems, ensuring the correct operation of CPU, memory, cache, interrupt controllers, timers and peripheral interfaces.
• Build and maintain Linux platforms across hardware development environments, including HAPS, VDK and evaluation boards.
• Investigate and resolve kernel and driver issues using online debugging tools and offline RAM dump analysis.
• Support Linux platform compatibility, virtualisation and upstream contributions.
• Optimise system performance and stability during pre‑silicon and post‑silicon development.
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications and system documentation.
