Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking an Embedded Functional Test Engineer II in Singapore. You will join the embedded functional test team within a SAFe-based development organization, building firmware functional tests and validating Rockwell Automation products.

You will apply product domain knowledge and engineering practices across the full development lifecycle, report to the engineering manager, and work in a hybrid setup in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related fields.
• 2 or more years of experience in Test Engineering processes (Agile, continuous integration, waterfall) and methods for test case design and test coverage optimization.
• 2 or more years experience in test automation methodologies.
• Expertise in real‑time embedded system/hardware.
• We require analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• 2+ years of experience with bug/anomaly tracking and assessment systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop test ware, test script, and build firmware functional tests based on Rockwell guidelines.

• Contribute to test Measurement activities by leading the continuous improvement activities.

Essentials – You Will Have

Preferred – You Might Also Have

• Programming experience in scripting languages (preferably Python).
• Experience with test lab development.
• Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery process.
• Experience in network protocols and analyzers.
• Experience of industrial automation and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications.
• Passionate with testing, creative, and curious to explore technical innovation.
