Job summary

APPLE SOUTH ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking an embedded software engineer to design and implement camera ISP software for Apple devices, spanning firmware, kernel, and user-space components.

You will collaborate with Silicon Design, Camera Hardware, and QA teams to deliver reliable, high-performance imaging features on iPhone, iPad, and Mac platforms. Strong C/C++ skills and real-time embedded experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Proficiency in developing real-time software in embedded environments.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience in embedded or systems software development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement low-level drivers and system software for sophisticated image signal processing (ISP) pipelines in embedded environments, targeting Apple's latest SoCs and chipsets.
• Develop camera features across the full software stack — from user-space frameworks and kernel drivers to firmware — for Apple products.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define features, communication protocols, and implementation specifications, with clearly documented requirements.
• Develop system software for secure sensor subsystems powering features like Face ID and Optic ID.
• Support hardware validation, factory testing, and manufacturing diagnostics to ensure product quality at scale.
