Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a part-time lunchroom helper for an elementary school. You will oversee students from entry to dismissal, assist with the lunch line, supervise seating and behavior, and support staff and visitors in the lunchroom.

Hours vary; responsibilities include maintaining a safe, orderly environment, helping with clean-up, and following safety procedures. High school diploma or equivalent required; strong communication with children and parents is essential.

• Good human relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee students from entry to dismissal in the lunchroom.
• Assist students in the lunch line with condiments, milk, napkins, etc.
• Supervise seating and ensure orderly lunchroom atmosphere.
• Assist parents, relatives or visitors who enter the lunchroom.
• Arrange tables for seating and help with cleanup after meals.
• Know fire exits and respond to emergencies as required.
