Job summary

INTERNATIONAL FRENCH SCHOOL (SINGAPORE) LTD. is seeking a passionate primary teacher to educate students with a strong focus on English-medium instruction and French program alignment.

You will design engaging activities, assess progress, and collaborate with families to support each child’s development. The role requires teaching degrees and experience in early years or elementary education, preferably with international school exposure.

Qualifications

• Teaching degree or equivalent (Master’s/PGCE/PGDE/CRPE).
• Experience teaching Kindergarten and elementary education.
• Preferred experience abroad or in international schools.
• Knowledge of the French education system is a plus.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Responsive and adaptable with good writing and speaking skills.
• Strong teamwork and ability to lead multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Teach all primary subjects in English and/or English language.
• Design and implement learning activities based on French programs and standards.
• Convey subject knowledge to students.
• Design and implement assessment methods in liaison with colleagues.
• Ensure students acquire skills, attitudes, and knowledge.
• Lead the class and foster student interest and participation.
• Provide personalized monitoring and work with families on educational projects.
• Contribute to teamwork and school growth.
• Adapt teaching to diverse student needs and measure achievements using ICT.

Job description

MISSION

The main mission of the primary teacher is to educate the young people entrusted to him/her, to contribute to their education and to provide them with training with a view to their social and professional integration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teaching all the subjects of primary (mathematics, science, arts etc ...) in English and/or the English Language
  
• Designing and implementing learning or teaching situations based on French programs and standards
  
• Convey subject knowledge
  
• Designing and implementing assessment methods of student’s learnings, in liaison with other teachers or professional partners
  
• Ensuring students acquire skills including capacities, attitudes and procedural knowledge
  
• Leading the class and foster students’ interest and participation
  
• Provide personalized monitoring of students by working closely with their family and participate in their educational project
  
• Contributing to teamwork
  
• Contributing to the operation of the school and its growth (involvement in projects and events, etc...)
  
• Adapting his/her teaching to the diversity of students by providing each of them with the necessary support, and measure their achievements
  
• Using information and communication technologies to support learnings
  
• Exercise of specific functions (coordination, projects, co-teaching, and so on)
  

SKILLS,ABILITY AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

• Teaching degree holder (Master’s, PGCE, PGDE, CRPE)
  
• Teaching experience in Kindergarten and elementary education required
  
• Preferably with experience abroad or in international schools
  
• Knowledge of the French education system is a plus
