Job summary

NEU Battery Materials in Singapore is seeking a capable researcher to advance electrolyzer systems, electrode fabrication, and electrocatalyst development. You will run experiments, interpret data, and help translate bench findings into scalable processes.

The role emphasizes hands-on electrochemistry, 3–5 years of related experience, and collaboration with the Engineering Team to address impurities, electrolyte stability, and mass balances. A PhD or MS/BS is preferred.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS/BS with hands-on research in electrochemistry, chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science or related field
• 3–5 years of experimental research experience in electrochemistry or related systems
• Solid grounding in electrochemical fundamentals: thermodynamics, kinetics, mass transport, electrode processes
• Practical experience with electrochemical characterisation techniques - EIS, cyclic voltammetry, impedance analysis and data interpretation
• Track record of taking experiments from concept to execution and outcomes ownership

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments to develop and optimise electrolyzer systems
• Investigate and resolve process challenges: impurity behaviour, electrolyte stability, mass and water balances
• Set up proof-of-concept experiments and drive them toward scale-up
• Perform electrochemical analysis and holistic data interpretation
• Support pilot and process engineering by translating bench findings to scale
• Contribute to grant proposals, patent filings and internal documentation
