Job summary

BGC Group Pte. Ltd. is hiring for a role supporting Energy Management System (EMS) and Energy Management Shadow System (EMSS) used for power-system monitoring and control-centre operations.

You will collaborate with engineering, software, infrastructure and OT teams to ensure reliable data, displays and supporting facilities. Fresh graduates with relevant modules are welcome.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical or power engineering and power-system concepts.
• Familiarity with networking commands, basic networking protocols and security concepts.
• Programming or automation experience and familiarity with various operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update EMS and EMSS databases and displays.
• Configure power-generation facilities and transmission-network assets.
• Support system monitoring, data integrity and situational awareness for operators.
• Assist with infrastructure including M&E and OT systems.
• Support automation and process-improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot issues and help maintain system availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers to keep configuration and documentation accurate.

About the Role

Join the team working Energy Management System (EMS)and Energy Management Shadow System (EMSS) and support software and technical systems used for power-system monitoring and control-centre operations.

You will work with engineering, software, infrastructure and operational technology systems to maintain reliable power-system data, displays and supporting facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and updateEnergy Management System (EMS)and Energy Management Shadow System (EMSS) databases and displays.
• Configure power-generation facilities, transmission-network assets and power/gas-system information.
• Support system monitoring, data integrity and situational awareness for power-system operators.
• Assist with supporting infrastructure, includingM&E and operational technology (OT) systems.
• Support internal automation and process-improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and assist with system availability and reliability.
• Work with engineers and the team to maintain accurate system configuration and documentation.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant education inElectrical & Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of electrical or power engineering, including power-system concepts.
• Familiarity withnetworking commands, basic networking protocols and security concepts.
• Competency in computer programming, technical hardware architecture or system configuration.
• Familiarity with Linux, Unix or Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of power-system software, SCADA, EMS, EMSS, control-centre systems or operational technology will be advantageous.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication, problem-solving and learning ability.

Salary:$3,500–$6,500 per month
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday:8:30am–6:00pm |Friday:8:30am–5:30pm
