Job summary

SEN JIE ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee daily factory operations in the assembly of electrical switchboards, distribution boards and control panels.

You will plan production schedules, allocate manpower and monitor progress to meet delivery deadlines. You will lead panel assembly, wiring, testing and inspections, read electrical drawings, ensure quality and coordinate with engineers and QA to resolve issues, while enforcing safe practices and efficient

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily factory operations for the assembly and production of electrical switchboards, distribution boards and control panels.
• Plan production schedules, allocate manpower and monitor progress to meet delivery deadlines.
• Lead and guide workers in panel assembly, component installation, wiring, cable termination and labelling.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
• Ensure panels are manufactured according to approved drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Check workmanship, component selection, wiring connections and panel finishing before inspection and delivery.
• Coordinate panel inspections and testing with engineers and quality control personnel, and ensure defects are rectified.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure materials and components are available for production.
• Monitor material usage, minimise wastage and maintain proper storage of tools and equipment.
• Enforce safe working practices and maintain good housekeeping throughout the factory.
• Maintain production records and report progress, manpower needs and production issues to management.
• Support troubleshooting and resolve assembly or wiring problems with the engineering team.
