Job summary

LCS PTE LTD in Singapore seeks anElectrical & Instrumentation Technician to maintain and troubleshoot plant facilities. You will read blueprints, install, calibrate, and repair electrical equipment, ensuring 24/7 readiness for shipment receiving, loading/unloading, packing, mixing and production activities.

The role involves preventive maintenance, cross-department collaboration, and adherence to safety protocols including LO TO.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and drawings and work from them for installation, repair and maintenance.
• Experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance in an industrial plant.
• Familiarity with PLC systems is an added advantage.
• Commitment to safety standards and proactive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all electrical and instrumentation equipment in the plant; troubleshoot and provide solutions.
• Perform electrical work, preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.
• Read and work from blueprints and drawings for installation, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Install, adjust and maintain electrical equipment, gauges and instruments.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate electrical needs, repairs and modifications.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer's standards.
• Repair circuits, wiring, motors, starters, controllers, sensors, and related equipment.
• Maintain safe and clean work areas; keep maintenance records and PM checklists up to date.
• Coordinate with other departments during maintenance and lock-out procedures (LOTO).
• Plan and maintain spare parts to minimize downtime; conduct risk assessments and uphold safety regulations.
• Calibrate testing instruments and repair equipment per specifications.
• Perform routine and emergency electrical tasks including diagnosis of faults and equipment replacement.
• Work across departments and guide team members as needed.
• Knowledge of electrical controls and instrumentation; PLC experience is an advantage.

Job description

• To be responsible for all electrical and instrumentation equipment’s, troubleshoot and give solution to all the electrical & electronic related technical problems in the plant. Provide availability of plant 24/7 for shipment receiving, loading/unloading, packing plant, mixing plant and production activities

• Perform electrical work, preventive maintenance and repairs on all the plant/facilities/industrial related equipment’s

  Read and work from blueprints and drawings in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plant electrical equipment with or without supervision

  Install, adjust and maintain all electrical equipment, gauges and instruments

  Troubleshoot, evaluate and coordinate electrical needs, repairs and modifications

  Ensure that manufacturer’s standards of repair and maintenance are performed on all equipment

  Repair and troubleshoot circuits, wiring, motors, starters, controllers, pneumatic valves, sensors, mixing plant and etc.

  Clean, lubricate and paint all the M&E equipment’s and keep all work areas safe, clean and orderly

  Evaluate and coordinate electrical needs, repairs and modifications

  Assist and perform emergency repairs throughout the plant

  Inspect equipment, report malfunctioning, including electrical equipment and carry out required repairs as needed

  Perform all the PM checklist and keep the maintenance records

  Prevent damage to machinery and equipment to determine what repairs are needed

  Be able to inspect mechanical equipment to determine what repairs are needed

  Be in-charge of electrical and instrumentation aspect of the plant, Issue Lock-out (LOTO) / work permit to other internal departments during maintenance and breakdown activities

  Plan and maintain required / most urgent spare parts at all times to minimize plant downtime

  Conduct risk assessment, to uphold and to adhere to all workplace safety regulations

  Calibrate testing instruments and install or repair equipment to prescribed specifications.

  Perform routine and emergency electrical tasks including, but not limited to, diagnosis of motor and electrical equipment faults, wiring issues, equipment replacement, etc.

  Team player to be able to work across departments and terminals

  Be able to direct personnel under him in executing an assigned task

  To have knowledge on electrical controls and instrumentation. Experience in PLC system is an added advantage
