Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking an Automation / Electrical Engineer to develop and support automation software and hardware systems. The role covers PLC programming, PC-based apps, and control-system design for power circuits and specialised devices.

The successful candidate will have an Electrical/Electronics degree and 2–3 years in automation or manufacturing, with strong PLC and programming skills in C/C++, VB or Python, plus experience in motion control and vision systems.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably in automation/manufacturing.
• Proficient in PLC programming and high-level languages (C/C++, VB, Python).
• Knowledge of motion control, servo/stepper motors and vision systems; strong analytical/problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support automation equipment software, including PLC programming and PC-based applications.
• Design and develop electrical hardware and control systems, including power circuits and specialised devices.
• Perform equipment installation, debugging, troubleshooting and evaluation with technical reports.

AUTOMATION / ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

• Perform equipment installation, debugging, troubleshooting and evaluation, including preparation of technical reports
• Manage automation projects, including scheduling, budget control, vendor coordination and project reporting
• Support factory automation, process improvement and equipment-related activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and quality requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 2–3 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably in automation or manufacturing
• Proficient in PLC programming and high-level programming languages such as C/C++, VB or Python
• Knowledge of motion control systems, servo/stepper motors and vision systems, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
