Job summary

JDA WMS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with LEW qualifications to support installation, testing and commissioning on project sites in Singapore.

You will supervise LV/MV electrical works, review drawings and submissions, coordinate with clients and engineers, and prepare site reports ensuring compliance with Singapore codes and safety standards. Strong problem solving and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid LEW Grade 7 or Grade 8 licence under EMA framework.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in electrical installation, testing and commissioning in Singapore.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
• Experience with MV/LV systems and equipment.
• Good knowledge of Singapore regulations, standards and safety requirements.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and SLDs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and able to manage site priorities.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with the relevant Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) qualifications to support electrical installation, testing and commissioning activities for project sites

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation, testing and commissioning of low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) electrical systems and equipment.

• Review electrical drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project specifications.

• Conduct site inspections and coordinate testing activities with clients, consultants, Resident Engineers (REs) and Resident Technical Officers (RTOs).

• Liaise with suppliers and vendors on technical requirements, equipment specifications and selection.

• Attend project meetings and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.

• Prepare and submit testing, commissioning and site acceptance reports.

• Ensure electrical works comply with applicable Singapore electrical codes, statutory requirements and workplace safety standards.

• Support project execution and perform other relevant duties assigned by the Commissioning Lead or Project Manager.

Job Requirements

• Valid LEW Grade 7 or Grade 8 licence issued under the applicable Energy Market Authority (EMA) framework, with the appropriate authorisation for the assigned work.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in electrical installation, testing and commissioning projects in Singapore.

• Hands-on experience in electrical equipment troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.

• Practical experience with MV/LV electrical systems and equipment.

• Good knowledge of Singapore electrical regulations, technical standards and safety requirements.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, Single Line Diagrams and technical documentation.

• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

• A proactive and responsible approach, with the ability to manage site priorities in a dynamic project environment.
