RED ENGINEERING TRACTEBEL (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Singapore office and lead both small and large projects within building services design.

The role emphasizes client-facing responsibilities, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and delivering robust electrical solutions for industrial facilities, data centres, and hospitality sectors. You will work hands-on, apply safety standards, and contribute to project success.

Qualifications

• Licensed or degree qualified or equivalent experience with international consulting
• Working towards MCIBSE/MIEE/Professional/Chartered status or equivalent
• Experience designing/drawing for at least one building type with robust standards

Responsibilities

• Run small projects, coordinate and monitor electrical installations and services
• Develop controls, instruments and operating system applications for building services
• Survey and report on existing electrical installations and verify compliance
• Prepare specifications and modifications in Word/Excel for projects
• Represent the company at technical meetings with clients and contractors
• Ensure calculations and drawings meet industry and legal standards
• Validate input from intermediate and graduate engineers into designs

RED an expanding international M&E consultancy, with a proven track record in low energy design, focused on providing excellent design solutions to clients.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to be based in our Singapore office, with the ability to inspire others and lead both small and large projects. You will take on a client-facing role in the development, design, and coordination of engineering projects. Candidates with an industrial background, preferably with experience in semiconductor facilities, cleanrooms, brownfield retrofitting, data centres, and other industrial projects. Additional sector experience in commercial, hotel, and retail design would be desirable.

Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with colleagues and clients, and experience working on innovative projects with leading client organisations, and contractors will equip you to take a future pro-active role in forging client relationships of our sector portfolio.

You will possess good commercial awareness, in addition to having robust technical knowledge relevant to building services design, and capable of incorporating those technologies into the hotel / hospitality and leisure sector. The position will ideally suit someone who is currently working in building service consultancy and is prepared to work 'hands on'.

Job Description

• Responsible for the running of small projects. Researches, develops, designs and assumes responsibility for coordination and monitoring of engineering project services for Mechanical or Electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.
• Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes
• Surveys tests and reports on existing electrical/mechanical installations
• Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements
• Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams
• Preparation of specification modifications (word or excel)
• Ensure engineering calculations and drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards
• Responsible for validation of Intermediate & Graduate Engineer input into designs

Experiences / Qualifications

• Licensed or degree qualified or equivalent experience and have sufficient experience with international Consulting Engineering.
• Working towards or have achieved MCIBSE/MIEE/Professional/Chartered Engineer or equivalent status
• Experience of specification design/drawing for at least one building type
• Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation
• Knowledge of MS Office apple excel etc
• Ability to use IT based calculation and spreadsheet software
• Good understanding of BS SC standards and international design codes and standards
• Ability to prioritise own workload
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Act in an ethical manner and follows the principles of the Ethics Code of Conduct and Ethics in Practice Guidelines
