Job summary

RED is an expanding international M&E consultancy based in Singapore. We seek an experienced Principal ICT Engineer to lead major projects, mentor the design team and coordinate engineering services for ICT infrastructure and data centres.

You will manage client interfaces, develop fee bids, and ensure delivery in line with RED Project Delivery processes while maintaining strong technical design in the hotel, retail, and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in ICT infrastructure required.
• At least 10 years of relevant employment experience.
• Experience in ICT infrastructure, building ICT fit-out migration and occupation.
• Knowledge of data centre design, campus networks, LAN, and fibre networks.

Responsibilities

• Running of major projects.
• Team management in development, design and coordination of engineering services.
• Leading the local design team.
• Cost and profit diagnosis, feasibility studies and fee bids.
• Reviewing status from project personnel and external parties and adjusting schedules.
• Preparing project reports for management, clients or others.

• Supporting delivery according to RED Project Delivery Process from PM, Finance, QA/QC and Technical Review perspectives.
• Day-to-day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with clients.

We now seek an experienced Principal ICT Engineer to be based in our Singapore office to inspire others. You will have the ability to run small and large sized projects, undertake a client facing role in the development, design, and co-ordination of engineering projects You will have experience in the delivery of data centres along with other sector experience including commercial, hotel, retail, and hotel design desirable.

Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with colleagues and clients, and experience working on innovative projects with leading client organisations, and contractors will equip you to take a future pro-active role in forging client relationships of our sector portfolio.

You will possess good commercial awareness, in addition to having robust technical knowledge relevant to building services design, and capable of incorporating those technologies into the hotel / hospitality and leisure sector. The position will ideally suit someone who is currently working in building service consultancy and is prepared to work ‘hands on’.

Job Requirements

• o IT/Multi-disciplinary consulting firm
• o ICT consultancy and project management
• o Construction project management (with a technology emphasis)
• o Network technology vendor/manufacturer
• o Network systems integration contractor
• · Experience in ICT infrastructure, building ICT fit-out migration and occupation
