Job summary

RED Engineering Design is seeking an experienced Senior ICT Engineer to base in Singapore. You will lead ICT infrastructure design packages, coordinate with BIM teams, and engage with clients to shape project outcomes across data centres, hospitality, and commercial sectors.

You will contribute to 2D CAD and 3D Revit deliverables, ensure QA, and participate in stakeholder meetings to translate client requirements into robust ICT solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with relevant ICT infra design experience.
• Diploma/HNC/HND/CNIDP with several years ICT infra design experience.
• Experience with data cabling, IP networks and MEP integration is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce ICT infrastructure design packages: reports, drawings, schematics, specs and procurement packs.
• Ensure quality and on-time delivery per project requirements.
• Develop 2D CAD drawings and 3D Revit models coordinating with BIM teams.
• Represent RED ICT in meetings with clients and design/contractor teams.
• Coordinate ICT with electrical and mechanical disciplines to meet project briefs.

RED is an expanding international M&E consultancy, with a proven track record in low energy design, focused on providing excellent design solutions to clients.

We now seek an experienced Senior ICT Engineer to be based in our Singapore office to inspire others. You will have the ability to run small and large sized projects, undertake a client facing role in the development, design, and co-ordination of engineering projects You will have experience in the delivery of data centres along with other sector experience including commercial, hotel, retail, and hotel design desirable.

Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with colleagues and clients, and experience working on innovative projects with leading client organisations, and contractors will equip you to take a future pro-active role in forging client relationships of our sector portfolio.

You will possess good commercial awareness, in addition to having robust technical knowledge relevant to building services design, and capable of incorporating those technologies into the hotel / hospitality and leisure sector. The position will ideally suit someone who is currently working in building service consultancy and is prepared to work ‘hands on’.

Job Description

• Responsible for the production of ICT infrastructure design packages, such as, written report documents, drawings, schematics, schedules, technical specifications, procurement packs.
• Meet the necessary standards of quality/technical excellence and delivery time commitments consistent with the demands of each project.
• Development of 2D CAD design drawings and 3D Revit models working in close collaboration with Revit BIM team colleagues. An emphasis upon design coordination and clash detection with MEP services is particularly important.
• Representing RED ICT at technical and design team meetings, meetings with customers, professional design teams and contractor teams.
• Ensure that specifications, drawings, and calculations meet the project design brief, industry, legal and quality standards.
• Adopt a holistic view in the selection and application of ICT infrastructure design concepts and solutions.
• Coordination of ICT design with related engineering disciplines, e.g., electrical, and mechanical.
• Work towards a timely successful team output and production.
• Participation in meetings with the client and relevant project stakeholders.
• Develop a clear understanding of client requirements from both a technical and operational standpoint.
• Undertake peer and QA review of drawings (typically cabling systems, containment, cabinet elevation, comms room layout, active network diagrams).

Job Requirements

Either:

• Degree in Engineering with at least 2 years’ appropriate experience in ICT infrastructure design engineering

Or:

• Diploma in Engineering, HNC/HND or CNIDP with at least 4 years appropriate experience in ICT infrastructure design.
