Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd invites a degreed Electrical Engineer to join our global technology client’s team. You will analyze and troubleshoot electrical issues and maintain PLM documentation across BOMs, drawings and service notes.

You will assess EOL components, identify alternate sources, and ensure product continuity while adhering to UL/CE/RoHS/EMI/EMC standards. Occasional on-site support may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3–5 years in automation/electrical environments.
• Experience designing products compliant with UL, CE, RoHS, EMI/EMC standards.
• Familiarity with electrical debugging and test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical issues with stakeholders.
• Qualify end-of-life components and identify second-source options.
• Maintain engineering docs in PLM: BOMs, drawings, specs, manuals, service notes.
• Evaluate change requests with feasibility and risk assessments.
• Develop electrical solutions for customer needs.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and process teams.
• Ensure compliance with international machine safety and electrical standards.
• Provide electrical support to R&D and global manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and electronics-related technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Evaluate and qualify end-of-life (EOL) components and identify suitable second-source alternatives to ensure product continuity.
• Maintain and update engineering documentation within PLM systems, including BOMs, drawings, specifications, manuals, service instructions, and release notes.
• Assess engineering change requests and improvement proposals, conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and implementation activities.
• Develop and implement electrical solutions to meet customer-specific requirements.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and process engineering teams to achieve project objectives and product improvements.
• Ensure compliance with international machine safety, electrical, and product standards.
• Provide technical support for R&D and continuous improvement projects, as well as assistance to global manufacturing and technical support teams on electrical matters.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automation, industrial equipment, semiconductor equipment, or related engineering environments.
• Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design, sensors, motor technologies, and industrial cabling practices.
• Experience designing products compliant with standards such as UL, CE, RoHS, EMI, and EMC.
• Familiarity with electrical debugging and test equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
• Exposure to EPLAN P8, PLM systems, and PCB layout tools such as Cadence will be advantageous.
• Communication skills, customer-focused mindset, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, organized, results-oriented, and willing to travel occasionally for on-site support when required.
