Job summary

EA RECRUITMENT PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for hands-on LV switchboard and MCC projects in Singapore. You will review customer specifications, prepare detailed drawings and BOMs, and support fabrication on the shop floor.

The role targets candidates with at least 3 years hands-on experience in LV switchboards, panel builders or switchgear environments, proficient in AutoCAD and BOM preparation, and capable of coordinating with production and customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of hands-on electrical design experience involving LV switchboards and MCCs.
• Experience preparing SLDs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and detailed/shop drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Experience with BOM preparation and electrical component selection.
• Candidates from switchboard manufacturers, panel builders, switchgear manufacturers or electrical equipment manufacturers preferred.
• Experience in marine/offshore electrical switchboards advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design LV switchboards, MCC, electrical control panels and consoles according to customer and project requirements.
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), schematic/wiring diagrams, approval drawings and shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Review electrical specifications, drawings and customer requirements before developing the design.
• Prepare BOM, material requisitions and component requirements for production.
• Coordinate technical and design requirements with customers, consultants and internal teams.
• Work closely with Production team during switchboard fabrication, providing design clarification and resolving technical issues.
• Support design modifications and technical discussions throughout the project.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical standards, project specifications and company requirements.
• Experienced candidates may also handle larger projects and review/check drawings prepared by other team members.

About the Role

This is a hands-on electrical design role focused on LV switchboards and MCCs — from reviewing customer specifications and SLDs to preparing detailed drawings, BOMs and supporting production during fabrication.

Suitable for Electrical Engineers with experience in LV switchboard manufacturers, panel builders, switchgear or electrical equipment manufacturing environments.
