Job summary

JTC Corporation is seeking an electrical design engineer to act as a client representative for building and infrastructure projects. You will coordinate with EMA and SP Group to plan 66kV+ transmission and 22kV distribution networks for JTC industrial estates, and manage consultants through design to project completion.

You will formulate briefs for tenders, conduct value engineering, and ensure compliance with local regulations while collaborating with multiple public sector agencies.

Qualifications

• Background in Electrical or Power Engineering with 2–3 years of consultancy, design or electrical network planning experience.
• Registration with the Professional Engineer's Board (PEB) would be an advantage.
• Certifications such as Design for Safety Professional, Green Mark, and Building Construction certifications are advantageous.
• Strong grasp of engineering concepts with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder coordination.
• Self-driven and dynamic approach to project management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with EMA and SP Group to plan transmission (66kV+) and distribution (22kV) electrical infrastructure.
• Formulate project briefs for consultancy tenders and manage consultants; review electrical designs and cost estimates.
• Conduct value engineering and cost-benefit analyses while ensuring compliance with local regulations and codes.
• Forecast industrial power demand and plan network upgrades and new substations in collaboration with government agencies.
• Represent JTC in agency committees and communicate engineering concepts across stakeholders.
