Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a Project Manager for a well-known M&E contracting client in Singapore. The role oversees assigned projects, coordinates resources, and ensures progress aligns with schedules while maintaining cash flow and quality standards.

The incumbent liaises with clients, consultants and authorities, reports on progress, and drives final project handover and defect closure during the DLP period.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• With minimum 8 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for projects assigned to him.
• Requisition of resources for the project such as labour, materials, equipment and others.
• Minimise / reduce wastage of materials, equipment, resources.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of sub-contractors.
• Perform project management organisation to ensure that project progresses according to schedule and to take corrective action when deviations arise.
• Liaise with customers, consultants, clerks-of-work and statutory authorities on progress, acceptance, plan approvals and problem resolution.
• Prepare and submit progress claims and ensure positive cash flow.
• Ensure proper handover of project to the customer upon completion.
• Responsive to follow up defect complaints during DLP.
• Assist management in administration of contract, claims, disputes, variation and final accounts.
• Provide cash flow projection and ensure projects are self-sustaining.
• Monitor project cash flow and disbursement within budget.
• Improve project profit margin.
• Monitor VO items and cost through negotiation with Main Con, Consultants, Owner & Sub-Con.
• Review and verify monthly invoices from Sub contract/Vendor.
• Assist management and Senior Project Manager to monitor accounts receivable for the projects.
