Job summary

RS RECRUITMENT AGENCY LLP is seeking a Project Manager for Singapore-based assignments in a mechanical and electrical engineering environment with a Japan headquarters. The role involves leading projects, coordinating resources, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining quality and safety standards across site activities.

Responsibilities include planning, subcontractor supervision, client liaison, contract administration, and on-job training.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of projects assigned to him
• Requisition of resources for projects such as labour, materials, equipment and others
• Plan timely delivery and minimize wastage of material/equipment/resources
• Monitor the progress and performance of sub-contractors
• Perform project management to ensure progress according to schedule and take corrective action when deviations arise
• Liaise with customers, consultants, clerks-of-work and statutory authorities on progress, acceptance, approvals and problems
• Liaise with Purchasing Department on delivery of items purchased for the project
• Ensure proper hand over of project to the customer when completed
• Be responsible for administration of contract, claims, disputes, variation and final accounts
• Provide on-job-training to new project staff
• Assign and supervise subcontractors' work
• Ensure safety practices are followed
• Solve all work co-ordination or technical problems at site
• Carry out inspections of incoming materials and equipment for the projects at the work site
• Conduct quality checks on work done by workers
• Arrange for overtime work if necessary
• Raise non-conformance product report for nonconforming products
• Conduct Project Planning
• Prepare and Control shop drawings
• Prepare Material Requisition
• To carry out and monitor stock control on materials at site
• Recommend and execute corrective method for Non-Conformance Performance
• Prepare Quality Plan
• Ensure all site execution with valid approved drawing, Architect Instruction, Engineer Instruction, Written Instruction from client/ main contractor representative
• Carried out assignment as detailed by the Senior Manager/ Project Manager/ Assistant Project Manager
