Job summary

GSK Singapore is seeking a seasoned Engineering leader to head a team of Electrical & Automation Technicians, ensuring safe and reliable maintenance across our manufacturing site.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Project teams, external suppliers and contractors, coaching a high-performing team while driving continuous improvement and adherence to GxP/GEP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in Electrical/Mechatronic engineering or related field
• Hands-on experience in regulated manufacturing environments (pharma, food, medical devices, chemical)
• Experience supervising technicians or small teams and planning work

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision and technical guidance to Electrical & Automation Technicians, ensuring safe and reliable maintenance execution.
• Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for electrical, automation and instrumentation systems to maximise uptime and support zero accidents, defects and waste.
• Maintain electrical systems (HV/LV switchboards, transformers, UPS, battery chargers, capacitor banks, gensets) in good condition to minimise disruption.
• Plan, prioritise and deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, shutdowns and handovers with strong schedule adherence.
• Support capital projects and equipment modifications, including installation, commissioning and handover into operations.
• Manage contractors and external suppliers with clear scope definition and performance follow-up.
• Coach and develop technicians using development frameworks to build capability and resilience.
• Ensure activities comply with EHS, cGMP, GEP and GDP standards.
• Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records in the CMMS (e.g. SAP) for audits and performance management.
