Job summary

GMP Technologies on Jurong Island seeks an Associate Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical systems and maintenance across a chemical plant. You will manage design, installation, testing, and commissioning of high- and low-voltage equipment, ensuring reliability and safety in an industrial setting.

You will provide technical guidance, run on-call duties, and support cost-saving initiatives while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Process Controls or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical engineering activities in the chemical or petrochemical industry.
• Proficient in Siemens GIS and SCS, technical drawings (P&ID, electrical/instrumentation), and SAP.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and cultural adaptability skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, repair, maintain, operate, inspect, test and take full charge and responsibility for any electrical installation on the site up to 66kV.
• Planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem solving tasks during project startup, maintenance, and production problems.
• Provide technical expertise on state-of-the-art electrical installation and safety practices.
